You just gotta love that Norwegian Biosphere. Unbelievable stuff that is. Dark & minimalistic ─ just the way we like it here. |

I'd have considered Biosphere to stand on the lighter side of ambient music -- at least on this stream... but well, perception varies individually... indeed Biosphere's music vaies as well, from trance-like tracks on the album Patashnik to rather pure natural soundscape collages.
Nonetheless, Geir Jenssen undouptedly produces ambient music of the highest quality. I even like Bel Canto very much, a pop project he was involved in (at least in the first two albums).

Yeah, the variety is great. Not all the tracks are that dark at all. I've even heard some female vocal stuff! And on the very other edge of Biosphere's production range there are the delicate, close-to-nature ambiences. |

I got "Cirque" last week. I like it but I wouldn´t call it "dark". |

Substrata - as i think - ist one of the best ambient album ever released. This album may change lifes.
