I.t.m. you may experience some disruptions in the program. As you might know, I'm always good for something new once in a while. I'm currently experimenting with streaming through a surround channel. I know many people who think rather conservative about the matter, e.g. 5.1 is good for movies or games. Yet, there are some artists that are lightyears ahead and do incredible stuff, like Male or Female (former Front 242 personnel, see here for more: http://www.dance51.com/morf/).
Recently, I enjoyed a concert of Cassandra Complex here in Hamburg, which brought me to investigate the current activities of master mind Rodney Orpheus. It seems he is actually working for DTS in the UK. Found this little video on YouTube, featuring the Future Sound of London:
Besides the limited speed of my puny upstream server, there is one major problem: I wasn't able to find enough surround mixes to provide a minimum loop length of three hours. I don't want to provide fake mixes with only custom effects on the rear speakers, for example. So if you know of some dark ambient surround mixes, let me know!
Maybe it's too much to ask for: If you have access to some multi track recordings, maybe you like to try, if it works for you! The mix doesn't have to be perfect. Just label it a demo.
Btw.: It's Christmas soon... and now you know what would make your favorite DarkAmbient Radio happy.
